Officer aided inmate’s girlfriend in drug plot

Posted: Updated:

A former detention officer pleaded guilty to her involvement in a plot to smuggle drugs into the Fulton County Jail.

Selener Moss, 38, pleaded guilty to an 11-count indictment which included charges of possession of marijuana, procuring prohibited items for inmate and false statement and violation of oath by public officer.

Investigators said Moss and Syedah Hill, 23, planned to sneak marijuana into jail for Hill's boyfriend, 25-year-old Abraham Myton.

Officers said Hill stashed marijuana, prescription pills and tobacco in a fast food bag. She placed the bag inside the officer's car in the jail parking lot.

Moss later asked a jail trustee to give the bag to inmate Myton.

The trustee became suspicious and opened the container and discovered the items inside.

She was sentenced to four years of probation by Judge Lovett.

Hill pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and was also sentenced to four years of probation.

A trial is pending for Myton, who is charged with criminal attempt to possess marijuana with intent to distribute in connection with this incident.
