Attorneys for admitted Chardon shooter want trial moved
GEAUGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -
Attorneys for TJ Lane are asking for his trial to be moved out of the county.
Lane, whom admitted to the deadly February 27 shooting at Chardon High School, has his final pretrial hearing scheduled for January 7.
Lane's trial is slated to begin on January 14. He is using an insanity defense.
17-year-old Russell King, Jr., 16-year-old Daniel Parmertor and 16-year-old Demetrius Hewlin were killed in the shooting. 17-year-old Nick Walczak remains paralyzed from the waist down. 18-year-old Joy Rickers and a 6th, unidentified victim were treated and released from the hospital.
