Mark Melvin/CBS Atlanta- Police are investigating the shooting of a man during a burglary at a Fulton County house.
FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -
A homeowner is lucky to have suffered only minor injuries after he was shot by a burglar early Thursday.
Fulton County Police Detective Melissa Parker said officers responded to the Stillrock Drive home at approximately 2 a.m.
The homeowner told police the suspect fled the scene after confronting him inside the home.
Parker said the man was grazed by bullet and was treated on the scene. That man later said he was shot from the other side of a door, nearly at point-blank range, but the bullet only went through his robe.
It's unclear what if anything was taken from the home.
Police have not released any information on possible suspects.
