Gwinnett County bank robbery caught on camera

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA (CBS46) -

A bank robbery in Lawrenceville leaves one crook in jail and police searching for two more - and the thieves didn't even get away with anything.

The robbery happened at a Wells Fargo branch on Dec. 28.

Investigators say the crooks arrived in two vehicles, but cops only caught one of the cars. Now they're on the lookout for two more suspects and their get-away car.

Surveillance cameras caught the suspects in the act. In the video, you can see two armed suspects barge in and present a bag for tellers to fill with cash. The two got the loot and ran out of the store, but Gwinnett County police soon caught up with one of the suspects.

"They left inside the car all the money they had stolen and the pistol and the shotgun that were used in the robbery," said Corporal Jake Smith with the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Police caught Jamar Terrell after a short chase, investigators interviewed and charged him with aggravated assault and armed robbery.

Detectives believe his two partners are also responsible for the robbery and now police are now on the hunt for Thomas Birdsong and Marcus Rutledge.

"We would recommend people consider them armed and dangerous," said Smith. "We don't know if we got all of their guns in the car or not."

Police think they got away in a 1992 Honda Accord.

If you can recognize either of those two suspects who remain at large, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers 404-577-TIPS.
