A University of Alabama student from the metro Atlanta area has died from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle wreck.
Montgomery, AL, police confirm that Natalie Baine, 20, died just before 4 p.m. Friday at Baptist Medical Center.
Baine was fatally injured in the three-vehicle collision that occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 8, around 10:30 p.m. The wreck happened at Western Boulevard and Interstate 65.
One of the vehicles involved in the wreck was a University of Alabama charter bus. It was the cheerleaders' bus carrying 31 people returning from the BCS National Championship game in Miami. The other two vehicles were a car and a pickup. Baine was riding in the pickup.
Baine is a student from Roswell according to information from The University of Alabama's website.
At this time, the accident is still under investigation and no further information is available.
This will be the first traffic fatality in the city of Montgomery for the year 2013.
