ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

One man is in critical condition and another has died following a shooting late Monday night in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward neighborhood.

It happened in the strip mall on North Avenue Northeast between Boulevard Northeast and Parkway Drive Northeast just after 10 p.m.

Officers were originally called out to a call about a gambling complaint in the 600 block of Boulevard Northeast when they heard gunshots coming from the direction of the strip mall, according to a spokesperson with the Atlanta Police Department.

Officers said they met up with a man who had been shot in the torso. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he's listed in critical condition.

A second male victim, who was found in the intersection of Boulevard and North Avenue, was taken to Atlanta Medical Center where he died from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Atlanta police have not made any arrests.
