Lilburn man robbed in his driveway speaks out

Posted: Updated:

A man returning home from work at night was robbed in his driveway.

Kil Yong So told CBS Atlanta News two men armed with a big gun rushed at him as he tried to exit his truck.

The men came from a dark wooded area next to So's home on Old Manor Court in early January.

"I said, 'What's wrong?' And he said 'Give money,'" said So.

So said the masked men were aggressive, hitting him on the head and forcing him to the ground.

One of the men even ripped out So's pant pocket to grab his wallet.

Lilburn police said the men took off with So's wallet. Inside he had his identification, a credit card and $300 in cash.

So pointed out to CBS Atlanta News the cuts on his right knee and left forearm, which still had bandages on them.

Neighbor Josie Alvarez was shocked by the attack and robbery. Her family had lived on the street for three years, she called the crime a first.

"We haven't had any problems like that. To hear and see something like that is scary," said Alvarez.

So has since added an alarm system to his home.

The suspect descriptions are pretty vague since the men were wearing masks.

Lilburn police are asking anyone with information about the crime to give them a call.
