Family, friends search for missing Atlanta woman, last seen in Texas

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Victoria Moon Erickson, 31, is a vegan and raw food chef, as well as a writer. She's been chronicling a cross-country road trip to vegan kitchens across the nation, as well as her quest to find her long-lost brother.

Her blog posts, and normally prolific Instagram updates, stopped last week.

She was last seen on Monday at a vegan kitchen in Houston, TX, where she had been working and staying, where host Pam Greer told KHOU-TV she left behind everything she owned.

"Her car is here, her computer's here, her wallet, her iPhone's here, her wallet, her ID," Greer said.

Her close friend Rosa Fitch has joined the search to find Erickson, and said she is concerned that Erickson abandoned her life.

"There's been a few instances in her life where she's left a lot of things behind and started fresh somewhere," Fitch said. "But, I've never known her to leave everything."

What worried family and friends the most is that the animal-lover left behind her dog.

"It was very suspicious and weird that she all of a sudden was gone and her dog was there," Erickson said.

Now Fitch has a plea for Erickson: Let your loved ones know that you're safe.

"We are concerned that she is in a bad state of mind and has taken some path that we don't know what it is," Fitch said."We don't know what happened but she's not in a good state of mind, likely. And we're worried for her safety."
