ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Otis Ricks, Gerald Peterson, Christopher Penson and DeMario Carman all appeared in a Fulton County court room Monday.

They are accused of the Aug. 16, 2012, murder of 53-year-old Vanessa Elaine Thrasher.

According to police, Thrasher was shot and killed inside her Northwest Atlanta business, 'O.T.'s Lounge Soul Food Grill' during an apparent armed robbery.

Within hours of her death, police arrested Ricks. The other three suspects were arrested days later. Police said all four men are members of a gang called the "Campbellton Road Gangsters."

CBS Atlanta News interviewed Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard two days after Thrasher was murdered.

"They had already gotten the cash. She didn't resist them in any way. Once they got the cash they then proceeded to shoot her. They shot her a number of times," said Howard.

Howard said Thrasher was scheduled to testify in a murder trial within a few days of her death.

"We had heard some rumors that maybe there might be some danger to her because of her testimony," said Howard.

Howard said police did not have any evidence, at the time, that Thrasher's murder was connected  to her pending testimony.
