Griffin officers: Woman shot in car, 1 arrested

GRIFFIN, GA (CBS46) -

A woman is recovering after being shot in her car along the 100 block of First Avenue in Griffin.

The shooting happened Jan. 24, around 4:30 p.m.

Officers found the victim in the parking lot of Super Speed Zone after two people told the clerk to call 911.

The people fled from the store after telling the clerk, according to reports. Officers later found them and brought them to the sheriff's office for questioning. 

Investigators identified the shooting suspect as 27-year-old Michael Phillip Pattillo.

Pattillo has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and reckless conduct. 

He was held at the Spalding County Sheriff's Office Detention Center with no bond set.
