FANNIN COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

The National Weather Service has added an additional tornado from Wednesday's event for Fannin County in far north Georgia.

Officials said a tornado touched down in the Sugar Creek area and moved northeast before lifting in the Hothouse Valley area.

The EF1 tornado caused numerous trees to be snapped or uprooted. Five structures were damaged, mainly due to falling trees, and up to 70 power poles were either snapped or damaged.

That brings the tornado count to two for Wednesday's storms.

NWS said Thursday that the same high end EF3 tornado hit both Adairsville and Gordon County on Wednesday.

Officials said the track of the tornado started two miles southwest of Adairsville and was continuous all the way though Gordon County to the Gordon/Murray County line.

NWS officials said they would provide more information on Monday about the tornadoes.
