Two arrested in connection to Spalding County shooting

SPALDING COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Spalding County authorities arrested a man wanted for questioning for his involvement in a shooting.

Deputies were seeking Patrick John Douglas, 35, who was arrested during a traffic stop on Thursday.

At the time of the stop he was carrying a firearm, according to reports.

Douglas had outstanding warrants for a parole violation and giving a false name to a law enforcement officer.

Douglas was wanted for questioning for his involvement in the shooting that occurred on Fifth Street in East Griffin on Jan. 26.

Deputies said there was an argument between Christopher John Henry Zickefoose and Douglas.

According to reports, Zickefoose shot Douglas in the chest.

Zickefoose was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and other drug related charges.

Douglas is charged with violation of parole, giving false name and date of birth to a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
