A Flood Watch will continue for the Atlanta metro and areas south through Wednesday afternoon. Some cities included in the watch are Atlanta, McDonough, Jonesboro, Douglasville, Athens and Griffin.
A Flood Watch means that minor flooding of creeks, streams and other areas prone to flooding are possible.
A slow-moving storm system has already produced more than an inch of rain in Metro Atlanta since Sunday.
Another round of heavier rain is expected to move in Tuesday afternoon and last through Wednesday morning. An additional inch of rain is possible in Atlanta, with higher amounts further south into Central Georgia.
