Gilmer County sheriff's deputies have three men in custody after three people were shot at a home in Ellijay on Feb. 10.

Dennis Gravely and Lloyd Silvers were taken into custody in connection with the shooting that occurred at about 11:30 a.m. at a home on Simmons Drive off Roy Road, according to the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office.

When deputies got to the home, they found two additional suspects, Ricky Silvers and Ben Forrest, with gunshot wounds to their heads.

Sheriff Stacy Nicholson told CBS Atlanta News deputies spoke to Gravely at the scene, who said a man named James Michael Stafford lived at the home and had shot the two injured suspects before leaving with a woman who lived with him. She was reportedly shot as well, according to the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said that Forrest, Ricky Silvers, Lloyd Silvers and Gravely had gone to Stafford's home to "collect a debt."

"They went armed and showed up, and things went south in a hurry, and bullets started flying," said Nicholson.

Stafford then dropped off the woman, who is believed to be his girlfriend, at North Georgia Medical Center, where she was treated for a gunshot wound to her leg.

She was released several days later.

Both Ricky Silvers and Forrest were brought to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment.

Ricky Silvers was released, however Forrest remains in the hospital in a coma, according to authorities.

On Feb. 20, Stafford was taken into custody after deputies were checking out a structure off Pleasant Hill Road.

Deputies had a K-9 officer with them and she located Stafford lying down in a field.

Stafford will face charges of aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The Gilmer County Sheriff's Office is applying for warrants for aggravated assault on both of the Silvers, Forrest and Gravely.
