ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Georgia Power said at least 79 people were without power early Monday morning in the Margaret Mitchell neighborhood of Northwest Atlanta, after a large tree fell across Moores Mill Road, taking power lines with it.

In southwest Atlanta, another tree fell late Sunday night onto a house on Kimball Road. There were three people inside the home, directly beneath where the tree fell, but none were hurt.

"I'm just a little shaken up from it," said Marco, a resident who did not want to give his last name. "We were just watching TV, and just talking, and about two minutes later we heard a real loud cracking noise and a tree just came straight down into the roof."

Georgia Power estimated it would be at least five hours before power was restored to customers in the Margaret Mitchell neighborhood.
