ROSWELL, GA (CBS46) -

The Roswell police department is asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted in an attempted rape case.

Investigators said Isauro Hernandez-Acosta, 30, attempted to rape his girlfriend's 15-year-old daughter at Woodbridge Apartments.

Officers were called to the apartment on Sunday around at 5:30 a.m.

The victim was able to scream for help. Her mother used a knife to fend off the attack by Hernandez-Acosta, according to police.

Hernandez-Acosta fled the apartment. He does not have a car and police believe he may show up at a hospital with multiple stab injuries.
