DeKalb County Watershed Management director to step down

DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

DeKalb County announced the DeKalb County Director of Watershed Management will step down.

DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis appointed Joe Basista to manage the county's watershed services on Aug. 22, 2011. Basista cites personal reasons for his departure.

He will leave the post March 8, 2013.

"I appreciate Joe's service to the county," said Ellis. "I accept his resignation and wish him the very best."

A national search will be conducted to identify a new director.
