ALBANY, GA (AP) -

A former Marine Corps Logistics Base employee from Albany has pleaded guilty to receiving bribes in exchange for equipment contracts.

U.S. Attorney's officials say 32-year-old Michelle Rodriguez of Albany pleaded guilty Thursday in the Middle District of Georgia.

Rodriguez worked as a supply technician in the base's maintenance center and awarded contracts for machine products in exchange for bribes from companies owned by Thomas J. Cole and Frederick Simon -- who pleaded guilty to bribery in January.

Court officials say Rodriguez would tell the men how much their companies should bid for contracts in exchange for $75 per contract. Authorities say Rodriguez received about $161,000 total in bribes.

Rodriguez faces a maximum of 15 years in prison and will pay full restitution to the Department of Defense.
