Woman slams into armed robbers' get away car

A Lawrenceville woman never imagined a trip to Walmart last week would result in a terrifying armed robbery.

Police say Ana Martinez-Mohammed was approached by two men in the parking lot wearing dark clothing and black skull caps.

Both men were armed with handguns, and managed to take her purse and cell phone. News of the incident frightened some Walmart shoppers.

"It does make me a little more vigilant about where I'm at and I have to be much more conscience about what time I'm going shopping," shopper Blair Sheppard said.

The victim told CBS Atlanta News that after she was robbed, she slammed her car into the suspects' car three times, disabling it.

The suspects then managed to run away from the scene.

"Once our officers arrived, it was discovered that the suspects' vehicle was actually stolen, and it had a stolen tag on it," Vaughn said.

Vaughn said investigators are reviewing surveillance video and following up on leads to locate the suspects.

"I think it's very scary, but hearing what she did, I say good for her. I'm glad she empowered herself and got in the car and tried to take care of what was going on," Sheppard said.

"I think that was a pretty brave move. I've never been in that situation, so I'm not sure how I would react," shopper Lisa Gunter said.
