ATHENS, GA (CBS46) -

A Kennesaw State student continues to fight for her life after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.

The good news is 19-year-old Emily Bowman's condition didn't change Monday night and doctors see that as a positive because it means she didn't get worse.

The bad news is the investigation didn't change much either. No arrests have been made in the case.

Police have the truck that hit Bowman. It clearly has damage and it even had several beer bottles in the bed of the truck when it was recovered. Police said they've also had a number of tips come in on the case, but they're still not comfortable making an arrest.

Police said part of the reason is because the suspect got an attorney who is making things difficult, but that doesn't mean they're giving up.

"We've been really heavily involved in this case since the inception of this case. We have guys working around the clock, talking to witnesses, gathering evidence, looking at the time tables of the way things are matching up," said Assistant Chief Fred Stephens with the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.
