A month ago, Pothole Patrol did one single story about a traffic light issue near Perimeter Mall. A month later, the issue and several others have all been fixed thanks to Perimeter's Community Improvement District.
The left turn lights on Hammond Drive at Perimeter Center Parkway did not line up with the left turn lanes. It created a lot of confusion for drivers until last week, when traffic engineers moved the lights over.
Crews made additional adjustments to traffic signals on Ashford Dunwoody.
Through a $2 million state funded grant, the CID has taken control of 100 traffic signals in the Perimeter Mall area.
The CID is using the funds to make traffic flow improvements which also includes light synchronization.
It was a good Friday for Pothole Patrol. In addition to the fixes by the CID, DeKalb County and Norfolk Southern agreed to make repairs on Pleasantdale Road in Doraville.
