ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A woman named Pamela Smith filed a paternity suit against basketball legend Michael Jordan this week, claiming that he fathered her16-year-old son.

The teen, who goes by Taj Jordan, took to his YouTube channel on Christmas Day last year with the claim.

"If you've been hearing any rumors about I'm Michael Jordan's son on Twitter, Instagram, MediaTakeOut, World Star - any of that - it's true," Taj Jordan said.

According to the suit, Smith said she became pregnant with the teen after being involved with Michael Jordan in 1995. Smith is representing herself and asks Michael Jordan to take a paternity test, pay back child support and pay for the teen's medical bills.

But according to Taj Jordan's video, he wants something else.

"The reason I'm making this video is because I feel like y'all should know, and I feel like he should be more in my life," the teen said. "He knows I'm his son. I've met him and all that stuff. We've had conversations. I just want him to be more in my life."
