The Cobb Taxpayers Association (CTA) sponsored a "Rock the E-SPLOST" rally Sunday at Glover Square in downtown Marietta.
The event was to rally widespread popular opposition to the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST), whose fate will be decided by voters in a special election being held on Tuesday, March 19.
"This rally represents the culmination of a tremendous grassroots effort to defeat the E-SPLOST," said Lance Lamberton, president and founder of CTA. "It is also an opportunity to thank our supporters for their hard work in fighting to reduce taxes and wasteful government spending."
