DUNWOODY, GA (CBS46) -

Dunwoody police made a disturbing discovery at a home off of Tilly Mill Road recently while responding to a wanted person case.

They found dozens of rabbits living in poor conditions inside the home on Cobb Drive. The report said there was a lack of food and water for the animals.

A man living near the home, who did not want to be identified, was stunned by the hoarding site for rabbits.

"Surprised because this is a quiet neighborhood and a quiet little area and everybody's passing neighbors, so mostly surprised," a neighbor said.

Police recovered 77 rabbits from the residence. Investigators said there was rabbit urine and feces on the ground, bed, couches and counters throughout the home.

"Well I love animals and I feel that no animal should be treated that way in any capacity. So it's just unfortunate," a neighbor said.

Police arrested three people in the home, 47-year-old Louis Massood, 47-year-old Dena Guevara and 28-year-old Jessica Ly. Each of the suspects will face a judge next month.

"They're pretty quiet people, but I didn't think anything like that was going on next door," a neighbor said.

The police report said that many of the rabbits were taken to a rescue facility in Bremen, where they will be cared for and possibly adopted. The report also said police found drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the home.
