NEW YORK (CNN) -

The Statue of Liberty was damaged during Superstorm Sandy but is now set to re-open.

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar said that the site would open in time for this year's 4th of July holiday.

Lady Liberty has been closed to the public since the storm's damage in October.
