Forsyth County teen charged in accident that killed woman

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A teenager in Forsyth County has been charged in connection with a crash that killed an elementary school teacher.

Antonio Aguilera Mora, 17, is charged with vehicular homicide in a crash that happened on March 7.

Investigators said Mora hit a car driven by Lesia Elaine Bennett, 43.

Sheriff officials said Mora was traveling southbound as Bennett was traveling eastbound on North Old Atlanta Road Thursday afternoon. A Forsyth County School bus was stopped on Georgia Highway 9 waiting at a traffic light to make a left turn onto North Old Atlanta Road when Mora and Bennett crashed in the intersection on Georgia Highway 9, causing Bennett to hit the front passenger side of the school bus, according to the incident report.

Bennett was taken to the hospital where she later died.

According to reports, Bennett was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision.

Bennett was employed at Kelly Mill Elementary School as a data clerk, and she helped to run an after school program.
