Atlanta police have found a missing woman and her children. They were located apparently unharmed near the West end Mall on Oak Street.
Atlanta police had issued a Levi's Call for the possible kidnapping of a woman and two children in southeast Atlanta.
A woman called police around 7 p.m. Friday to report her friend had been kidnapped from the 600 block of Reed Street. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was alert, conscious and breathing when he was transported to the hospital.
Police said the man was shot, left the scene and came back to Reed Street. Officers said he told them someone tried to carjack him. He said his friend and her two children were behind him and may have been kidnapped.
Investigators have identified the children as 10-year-old Deryle Denson and 7-year-old Chloe Jenkins.
The woman's 1997 green Oldsmobile was also located.
