Three suspects accused of breaking into vehicles at a gym in Gwinnett County have been caught in Cobb County.

On March 21, someone broke into two vehicles and stole items. The vehicles were parked at the Gold's Gym located at 860 Duluth Hwy., according to Gwinnett County police.

Responding officers found windows had been smashed and purses had been stolen from both vehicles. Victims told investigators that their credit cards had been used at various locations around the county. Officers followed up at each of those locations in an effort to identify who was using the cards.

Detectives found that the suspects were using the victims' credit cards to purchase gift cards at various locations. One of the suspects was identified as Tonya Evans, 25. She is believed to have used a gift card purchased with a victim's credit card to check into a motel.

The investigation revealed that Evans had been charged with breaking into a vehicle and fraud in Cobb County. The Cobb County Police Department had arrested Evans along with Kenneth Jackson, 32, and Brandon Graham, 26, for breaking into a car at a gym in their jurisdiction.

Based on information provided by Cobb County officers, Gwinnett County officers were able to link Evans, Jackson and Graham to both of the car break-ins at Gold's Gym on March 21. Evans has been charged with entering auto, financial transaction card fraud, and identity theft. Charges against Jackson and Graham are under further investigation.

Investigation into this group's involvement in other crimes is ongoing in both jurisdictions.
