Scattered rain will continue throughout the day Thursday, along with gusty winds and cooler temperatures.
An area of low pressure will move eastward through the Gulf of Mexico through Friday morning. The low will continue to produce scattered rain as far north as Atlanta through Thursday evening.
Gusty, east-northeast winds can also be expected Thursday at 15-20 mph.
The combination of scattered rain and gusty winds will create much cooler temperatures, as highs are only expected to reach into the lower 50s. The average high in Atlanta is 70 degrees for this time of year.
The scattered rain is expected to move out by Friday morning
