Fire displaces residents at Smyrna apartment complex

SMYRNA, GA (CBS46) -

Several residents at a Smyrna apartment complex were displaced after a fire at Wyndcliff Galleria Apartments.

It happened just before 2 a.m. at 2350 Cobb Parkway S.E.

Firefighters from Smyrna responded and the Cobb County Fire Department also was called in to assist.

The fire started in building number 12 and spread to adjacent building 11.

No one was injured, according to Smyrna fire spokesperson.

Fire officials told us that they responded to a fire at the same complex Thursday. Friday's fire is considered suspicious, according to Smyrna fire.

Seven families, 14 adults and 2 children, received emergency food, clothing and lodging from the Red Cross.

Red Cross volunteers are also working with the apartment management to relocate all residents within complex.
