Final Four organizers in Atlanta have enlisted the help of 2,000 volunteers to help things go smoothly during the weekend's games at the Georgia Dome and free concerts at Centennial Olympic Park.
"We were quick to fill up our volunteer shifts, over 4,000 volunteer shifts," said Amy Patterson, a volunteer from the 2007 Atlanta Final Four who came back to lead the organizing effort in 2013. "We've been planning for over 18 months for this."
"That's our job is to make sure that the NCAA, and the Final Four, and all the fans feel welcome and have a good time," said volunteer James Tripp.
Some of the tasks he and the other volunteers were given included helping out-of-town guests find their way around downtown and welcoming people to the airport.
