With Final Four over, cleanup begins downtown

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Almost as soon as the buzzer sounded on the NCAA men's basketball championship game between Michigan and Louisville at the Georgia Dome Monday night, cleanup began downtown at Centennial Olympic Park and elsewhere.

One crew worker said it will likely take them until next week to get all of their equipment packed and moved out, following the free concert series and fan fest in and around the park.

Judging by fan reactions after the game, the Final Four in Atlanta was a huge success.

"It was great, Atlanta was great, the town is perfect for this kind of stuff, and it's awesome," said one Louisville fan, reveling in his team's victory over Michigan.

Fellow fan Doug Gordon agreed.

"Final Four was great, city of Atlanta was a great host while we were here, we went all over the city doing all of kinds of things, great restaurants," said Gordon.
