Cobb police looking for man targeting bank customers

COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Cobb County police are trying to find the man suspected in three car break-ins. In each case the victim had visited a bank before the crime.

The first case happened Saturday, Feb. 2. Police said the victim went to Wells Fargo Bank off Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw and then into a nearby Waffle House. While the victim was inside, a man broke into the car and stole money, according to officers.

Investigators said a similar crime happened Sunday, March 3. The victim went to the same Wells Fargo Bank. He then went to a nearby Walmart where a man broke into his car and stole money, according to police. Officers said a Walmart camera captured a photo of the same make suspect as in the previous case.

Officers said the third case happened Tuesday, Feb. 18. This time the victim went to Wells Fargo Bank on Dallas Highway in Marietta and then to a nearby Suntrust Bank. Officers said when the victim went back to his vehicle his car had been broken into and money stolen. The suspects picture was captured on a cell phone.

If you recognize the man, you are asked to call police.
