It's that time of year again -- time for the Atlanta Dogwood Festival and CBS Atlanta News is a proud sponsor.
The city's longest-running festival, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is dedicated to providing the annual springtime celebration of arts and entertainment
The 77th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival, presented by PNC Bank, is a three-day outdoor fine arts festival held in Piedmont Park.
The festival, which starts at Noon on Friday, offers an exciting array of fine art, live music, cultural performances, a disc dog competition, both gourmet and festival food options, children's programming, classic rides and the chance to enjoy Atlanta's most beautiful season.
In 2012, the festival added a Saturday night concert, which will be reprised in 2013 with a performance by county superstar Sara Evans.
Entrance to the festival is free, but some areas/events are ticketed. Donations are always accepted.
The best way to get to the festival is on MARTA to the Arts Center or Midtown station. Drivers will find parking options at the Campanile Parking Deck at 1155 Juniper Street, the SAGE Parking facility operated by the Atlanta Botanical Garden and at Atlantic Station. There will be shuttles running from the MARTA Art Center Station as well as from Atlantic Station parking and the Campanile Parking Deck. Shuttle hours vary, and schedule is available at http://www.dogwood.org/Directions.
