Posted: Updated:

Charges are pending against a Hall County man who crashed his car into a school bus on Friday evening.

According to Georgia State Patrol, just before 5PM, a Corvette being driven by 54-year old Randolph Marvin Eccles of Murrayville, attempted to pass another vehicle in the northbound lane of Hwy 60. Eccles lost control of the car, traveled into the southbound lane and struck a school bus carrying students from North Hall Middle and High School.

The impact caused the bus to leave the highway and crash down an embankment. The driver, three students and Eccles were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment.

Uninjured students were transferred to another bus to be taken home.

The Georgia State Patrol will be handling the investigation.
