Major film production shuts down Atlanta bar

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Manuel's Tavern in Atlanta will do something owner Brian Maloof said has never been done before at the historic bar.

"To have a major motion picture from Hollywood come in here and buy us out for a whole day, that's a pretty phenomenal event for us," said Maloof.

Manuel's will be closed for business on Wednesday because a major film plans to shoot a bar scene there.

"It's nice to be closed and be paid to be closed, and for the employees to have a paid day off, that's a big deal," said Maloof.

Maloof would not let the cat out of the bag and tell us what film is shooting there.

"I'm not allowed to mention the name, I know it's a sequel," said Maloof. "I don't think I can say who's in it and be fair to them. It is a sequel to a very popular film."

We do know films like Anchorman 2 and The Internship are among 34 films and TV shows currently being produced in Atlanta.

Film crews are always looking for location to shoot films. You can list your property as a film location with Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment.
