Police in Lawrenceville arrested a Kohl's employee who was allegedly caught watching female customers change in the junior's fitting room.

Police said David Roland Williams, the store manager, was arrested after a mother alerted police to the disturbing incident.

The mother talked to CBS Atlanta News but does not want to be identified.

"The moment my daughter told me that there's a man staring at us in the fitting room. I was like what? Like, I was shocked," said the mother. "I looked up and there he was, plain as day. I saw his hair, his glasses, his shirt, his name tag, everything."

She said all she could think of was to protect her child.

"I pushed her up against the wall where he couldn't see her. I said, ‘Get your clothes on, we're getting out of here,'" said the mother.

Investigators said Williams was hiding in the ceiling tiles and looking down on the young girl and another woman in the fitting room next to her.

The mother told CBS Atlanta News her daughter was traumatized by it all.

"One day, she's fine. The next day, she's scared. She's really scared about him getting out of jail and finding out who she is and coming after her," said the mother.

Capt. Greg Vaughn said the teen should be commended for being so aware of her surroundings in the fitting room and that we can all learn a lesson from her.

"When you go in there, you may want to look around. Look up. It's something we never do. We go in and are focused, but it may not be a bad idea to look around," said Vaughn.

The corporate office for Kohl's would not confirm Williams' job title but said he's no longer employed with the company.

Williams told police he would never do anything like that and that several other men also work in the store.
