ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Two brothers facing murder charges in the death of a toddler waived their first appearance hearing on Thursday.

Inmates Jeremy and Montez Thompkins are currently being held without bond.

The brothers were arrested in connection to the shooting death of 2-year-old Ty-Teyanna Motley.

Ty-Tyenna's brother, Isaiah, also was shot during the incident.

"The dude came to the house asking for somebody's name, then my brother said that person didn't stay there," Ty-Yeyanna's uncle Charlie Howard said. "My brother said when he got to the kitchen, he heard three shots."

Ty-Teyanna's father, Antoine Shepard, told CBS Atlanta the dispute and shooting happened over car rims.
