Police: Man exposes himself to girl in Cherokee County

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

People living in one Cherokee County neighborhood are on edge after a man exposed himself to a 10-year-old girl.

It happened Thursday afternoon when she got off the school bus at the Twin Pines subdivision off Kellogg Creek Road. Two people heard the child scream as she ran off. One neighbor said a similar incident happened eight months ago.

"I can't believe it, just the idea of it to begin with is crazy and in this neighborhood," said Will Chesshire, who's lived in the neighborhood for 25 years.

Police say the flasher is a heavyset man with salt-and-pepper hair, driving an older model white foreign-made sedan.

As of Friday morning, Lt. Jay Baker with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department said they did not have any solid leads on who the man is, or where he could be.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
