The parents of a Cobb County 19-year-old killed in a deadly crash are trying to save other teens.
They shared their story at the Safe America Teen Driving event Saturday at the Cobb Galleria.
Gloria and Esteban Nolasco told teens about the heartbreaking loss of their son Stephen.
Police said he was speeding with his friend when he lost control of his car and crashed. The car caught fire, killing them both.
"As a parent you always think, 'well it will never happen to me,' but unfortunately it happens to a lot of parents and some of my friends' parents. Some of my friends have gone through the same thing with some of their children, so it just brings it home," said parent Misty Kennedy.
Police demonstrated what happens during a DUI arrest. Teens also saw what happens during the prosecution process.
