Atlanta nightclub shooting sends guard to hospital
ATLANTA (CBS46) -
Atlanta police arrested one man following an early Thursday morning shooting at a nightclub. They were still looking for at least one other suspect.
Multiple shots were fired outside the Space Atlanta club, located on White Street in the historic West End community. One of the bullets grazed a security guard in the back of the leg. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
A police spokesman said the trouble began with an altercation between patrons. Security kicked several people out. They returned a short while later, firing gunshots at the club from the parking lot.
Witnesses said the men left in a yellow mustang and a black Dodge Charger. Police canvassed the area and arrested one man. As of early Thursday morning, his name had not been released.
Police said they were following up on multiple leads and still looking for at least one other suspect.
The club's owner told CBS Atlanta News he had no comment.
