ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A Cobb County woman was denied bond after police said she robbed a bank, then took officers on a high speed chase on I-75.

The pursuit ended when Ancelly Faye Green, 39, of Dallas, GA, rolled her car, shutting down the interstate in both directions for several hours.

"While the officers were behind the vehicle, the vehicle rolled through a stop sign. A felony traffic stop was attempted on the vehicle and the suspect accelerated at a high rate of speed," Mike Bowman with Cobb police said.

Police said Green fled the bank on Mars Hill Road and then sped down I-75 before her car overturned near Mount Paran Road, according to Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce.

According to Georgia Highway Patrol, the chase reached 120 mph.

"She wrecked on her own accord. There was no assisting, no pit maneuver, GSP was at a safe distance and she just lost control of the vehicle simply," Bowman said.

Green claimed to have explosives with her. A bomb squad was called to investigate Green's vehicle. Nothing was found.

Traffic backed up for miles during the lunch hour.

"We were trying to get on 75 south and it got backed up. Everyone was coming back up the on-ramp, they were diverting everyone back towards us," driver Dan Moore said.

One of Green's neighbors said she was in the midst of financial trouble.

"She and my wife would talk, whatever, but when she was moving out, she wanted to stay by the house, but the condition wouldn't allow it. So she had to find somewhere else to go," said Ricardo Brown.

Green is charged with armed robbery and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. Both are felonies.

CBSAtlanta.com will have more information on Green's court appearance as it becomes available.
