Powerball jackpot climbs to $360M, Mega Millions grows to $190M

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Powerball fever is expected to grow Wednesday as lottery players try their luck at winning the $360 million jackpot. The drawing is at 11 p.m.

The odds of winning are more than 1 in 175,000,000. Still, Alfonso Echevarria of Alpharetta bought a few tickets.

"My philosophy is as long as you have a hope a dream or something, it doesn't hurt to play," said Echevarria. "I'm hoping I can win because there'll be a lot of happy people in my family."

The Powerball has climbed quickly. In just a few short weeks, the jackpot has become the third largest Powerball jackpot and the seventh largest jackpot ever.

"I hope I hit this $360 million," said Johnny Milam of Atlanta, who's already made plans for his winnings. "Take care of the family, retire."

"I'm about to get this money," said a smiling Fred Ousley of Atlanta. "I'm going to bless the church, bless the kids, bless my family, bless my friends."

The Powerball jackpot isn't the only big draw. No one won Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot, so it increased to $190 million for Friday's drawing.

However, four tickets won big from Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing.

RaceTrac on Spring Road in Smyrna and G & G Food Mart in Ocilla sold winning tickets worth $250,000.

Time Saver in Augusta and Best Buy of Flovilla sold winning tickets worth $10,000.

Winning numbers from Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing were: 6-10-12-28-32 and the Mega Ball was 38.
