Supporters of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's Medicaid expansion plan will gather at the Capitol to pressure lawmakers into approving her plan to expand Medicaid.
Wednesday morning's rally on the House lawn is Brewer's fourth since announcing she wants to expand the state's health insurance for the poor to 300,000 more people.
It comes as the House speaker says he wants a ballot measure on the issue. Conservative Republicans in the Legislature oppose the plan but it may be added to a Senate budget bill this week.
Medicaid expansion is a signature part of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul law. Brewer was among the governors who sued to block the Affordable Care Act but the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the law last year.
