President Barack Obama delivered the commencement address during the 129th commencement exercises at Morehouse College on Sunday.

  • 3:04 p.m. President Obama is set to leave Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
  • 1:33 p.m. President Obama will attend Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser.

    The event will host approximately 100 people. Ticket levels for this event were Attendees: $10,000/per couple Hosts: $32,400 per couple
  • 12:53 p.m. President Obama finishes his speech and prepares to leave Morehouse
  • 12:06 p.m. The president begins speaking.
  • 11:51 a.m. Valedictorian Betesegaw Tadele takes the stage @ Morehouse College
  • 11:37 a.m. Morehouse College glee club sings
  • 11:25 a.m. President Obama takes the stage. The crowd cheers
  • 11:07 a.m. The president is now at Morehouse College. Motorcade arrived at Morehouse at 10:42 a.m.
  • 11:00 a.m. Drivers stopped along I-20, got out of their cars to take photos of the motorcade.
  • 10:40 a.m. Mayor Reed Tweets to the Morehouse College graduates:
    Hang in there President @BarackObama is on the way.
  • 10:39 a.m. Volunteers were distributing ponchos. Alumni and families of graduates sit beneath umbrellas, but the stage is covered and remains dry.
  • 10:37 a.m. The president is on his way to Morehouse College.
  • 10: 32 a.m. POTUS emerged from the plane with Rep. Hank Johnson, who represents an Atlanta-area district, and Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-La., who is a Morehouse grad. Shakes hands with Mayor Reed.
  • 10:13 a.m. Air Force One lands at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
  • 10:04 a.m. It is beginning to rain. Lots of secret service agents patrolling the area. A couple dozen citizens and political members are here waiting for the arrival of the President and Air Force One. Photojournalist Chris Peters.
  • 10:00 a.m. President Obama should be arriving at the airport shortly.
