Two bridges have reopened in Johns Creek

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The Buice Road Bridge over Johns Creek reopened Sunday afternoon.

The Johns Creek Public Works Department closed the bridge after flood waters reached the bridge structure.

The Parsons Road bridge at Johns Creek has reopened after it was closed when a tree fell on the bridge and brought down telephone lines.

Crews cleared the downed tree and traffic was able to travel through the area around 6 p.m. Sunday.

City Public Works staff continue to monitor roads and bridges throughout the city during this heavy rain event.
