ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Metro Atlanta children are getting a sneak preview Thursday of the Cartoon Network's latest national fitness tour as the network teams up with the Fernbank Museum.

The special 'Move It Movement' preview day takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum, located at 767 Clifton Road NE in Atlanta.

It's an interactive event that aims to motivate, energize, and educate kids and families about living an active lifestyle.

This high-energy event has goal kicking drills, 3-point challenges and other fun activities that encourage kids to test their skills with their friends. All activities take place outside around the Dinosaur Plaza and will be held rain or shine.

The Move It Movement is included with Museum admission and is free for Fernbank members.

Activities include the Subway Soccer Shootout in which kids can test their shooting skills with a custom soccer goal. The NBA FIT Activity Zone allows kids to take a shot at the NBA through a timed 3-point shooting drill or a friendly game of "Pig" or "Horse" with friends. The NFL PLAY 60 allows kids to take a handoff and 'juke and weave' through the NFL Play60 obstacle course on the way to crossing the goal line. The PGA Chipping Challenge encourages kids to test their golf skills by aiming for targets as they work their way up the leader board.

The Let's Move! initiative, launched by First Lady Michelle Obama, seeks to solve the problem of obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams.
