Police found 14-year-old Braylen Anderson's body in between two houses on Sterling Ridge Lane in Jonesboro on Saturday.

"Right now it's still under investigation to determine whether or not that deceased male was part of the three individuals who ran from the house," said Clayton County police Sgt. Kevin Huges.

When the homeowner and his wife returned home Saturday, they noticed the front door was kicked in. He pulled out his gun, went inside his home and encountered three males.

Police said the homeowner and burglars exchanged gunshots. The men escaped through a window. The homeowner called 911.

"While detectives were outside canvassing the area looking for clues, they found a male laying in the neighboring yard unresponsive," said Hughes.

Police also found a gun outside the window the three escaped through. Anderson's body was found near Stanley Short's home.

"It's a tragedy to humanity for a young brother to be deceased like that for the sake of a flat screen TV.  He could have worked a week at McDonald's and bought that or went to a yard sale and got that," said Short.

That was one of four shootings Clayton County police investigated over the weekend - two them involved officers.

"It's crazy, it's very crazy to have two officer-involved shootings in the weekend in the same jurisdiction," said Hughes.

Friday an officer was sitting at a red light when a woman crashed into his patrol unit from behind.

"A young lady got out and approached the officer, advising him that her husband was trying to attack her. Shortly after that, another car struck the woman's van," said Hughes.

Hughes said Seon Rose crashed into his estranged wife's car and then attacked her. When the officer broke them up, police said Rose pulled out a gun and shot him. Another officer then shot and killed Rose.

"The officer is fine, he is at home recovering from his injuries. He received two gunshot wounds, one to his shoulder and one grazed his neck," said Hughes.

The second officer-involved shooting happened when an officer responded to a carjacking Sunday night. Police said a short high-speed chase turned into a foot chase.

"The male turned and pointed the object at him, which the officer recognized as a hand gun. He drew his service weapon, firing shots at the individual, striking him once in the leg," said Hughes.
