PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA (CBS46) -

Gwinnett Police are looking for a gunman who attacked two women out for a morning walk Wednesday in Peachtree Corners. He pointed the gun at their heads and demanded their cell phones.

The victims did not want to talk on camera but told CBS Atlanta news they feared for their lives.

"He said, 'I'm going to kill you, I'm going to kill you,'" one of the women said.

The attack happened as the women walked along West Jones Bridge Road near the Tillman Hall subdivision.

It is an upscale area where many children and parents play and exercise.

"It is concerning, especially as a woman," said Claudia Roopnarine who was at a nearby park with her family. "You do feel more vulnerable."

"I don't go alone," said Lynn McAleer. "I usually go with my husband or girlfriend if I'm walking. It's always a concern."

One of the women was injured as she fell during the attack. She did not need medical treatment.

The victims said the suspect walked by them on the sidewalk and said hello.  A short time later, he hopped out of a waiting car and attacked them.

They handed over their cell phones and the attacker ran back to the car and fled with a young girl and another man.

"You always have to be aware," said Colin Roopnarine.  "You don't want it to happen but you always have to be on your guard."

Police describe the suspect's car as a silver Chevy Impala in good condition.  Anyone with information is asked to call authorities.
