CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Police are looking for a suspect who took a car with a child, 5, inside along Greenwillow Way in Clayton County.

According to police, at about 4:20 p.m., a grandmother started her car in the driveway of her home. Inside the car were her two grandchildren, ages 5 and 13.

The grandmother ran back into the house and left the car running, according to reports.

While in the house, a person jumped into the car.

The 13-year-old was able to jump out of the car just before the man sped away with the 5-year-old still inside.

The suspect let the 5-year-old out of the car about a block away, according to reports.

Witnesses saw what happened and called 911. They stayed with the child until officers arrived.

The child was not hurt.
